Photo Gallery - League One Champions 2004-05

Luton Town Football Club

On Saturday, April 30th 2005, Luton Town Football Club lifted the League One Championship trophy after a 4-2 victory over Brentford at Kenilworth Road.  With Kenilworth Road in a party atmosphere and ready to celebrate winning the League One Championship - which had been won the previous week at Wrexham - Brentford threatened to dampen the atmosphere slightly when leading 2-1 with just six minutes left.  However, the Hatters - enduring their best season for many years - fought back to win 4-2 with three late goals that epitomised the fighting spirit of the side during the entire season.

At the end of the match, the Luton Town players lifted the League One Championship trophy amidst scenes of unforgettable joy and, after the players embarked on a lap of honour, the Luton Town fans invaded the pitch to celebrate the phenomenal season. Finally, the Hatters players appeared in the Main Stand Directors' Box at Kenilworth Road to once again hold aloft the trophy for the thousands of delighted Hatters fans on the pitch.

The photographs below, taken by many Luton Town supporters, captured the brilliant day that took place in the glorious sunshine at Kenilworth Road.
